I went along to this talk by Timba Smits last night, not really knowing what to expect and just happy to hear what he had to say. I came away wowed, inspired and with a lot of respect for his craft, his talents but most of all his honestly and for sharing so much of himself with a crowd of people most of whom I guess he’d never met.

A pretty sweet way to spend an evening.

Drawing is meditation for me, so every other Wednesday you’ll find me doodling to my hearts content at a new life drawing class I’ve started going to. For two hours I get totally lost in what I’m creating and find myself coming home relaxed, happy and clutching loads of scribbles, illustrations and collages I’m really pleased with. I tend to have quite a lot of pictures at the end of class, so I thought I’d share a few with you.

I’ve just got back from a trip to the beautiful city that is Amsterdam. I still cannot get over just what a pretty, pretty place it is.

These are the first images I got developed after using my Mini Diana camera. Out of a whole film these were the only ones that weren’t a total disaster – although I’m not sure what went wrong – I’m pretty certain it was user error! I’m pleased these came out though as they were taken at the first West Norwood Feast I went to. It’s a really great street market, powered by volunteers. It was a lovely sunny day and it’s the first of many Feasts I shall be going to.
